CAPTAIR / ERLAB Powdercap 800 Class 2 Laminar Flow Hood (LFH)

CAPTAIR / ERLAB Powdercap 800 is a Class 2 laminar flow and fume hood designed for ultra-clean filtration and
containment of solid, liquid or gaseous powder. This specialized hood has been developed for applications where maximum
safety and cleanliness are top priorities. With its unique design, ERLAB Powdercap 800 offers advanced features that
enable efficient air flow, low energy consumption and a reliable work environment. The hood is constructed from hygienic
white powder coated steel with a safety glass front to protect the operator and to provide visual monitoring. The entrance of
the hood is designed with a wide access port to minimize turbulence. A sealed opening allows the hood to be fed with clean
air. This ensures a low turbulence environment throughout the hood, which maintains a constant and safe air exchange. The
airflow system is divided into two sections, the service area and the fume chamber. The air passing through the service area
is filtered to remove contaminants. The air passing through the fume chamber passes through a series of activated charcoal
filters that remove volatile organic compounds, odors and other gases. The filtered air is then returned to the hood via an
exhaust fan located at the rear of the hood. The hood is equipped with advanced controls to monitor and adjust the airflow,
temperature and humidity as needed. CAPTAIR Powdercap 800 is equipped with a fan speed control system to maintain the
proper air velocity in the hood and it is also compatible with ERLAB air quality sensors to monitor the air quality at any point
inside the hood. The hood is fitted with a waste tray at the base, allowing the user to easily dispose of any hazardous
materials which can be safely discarded outside the hood when the containment requirements have been fulfilled.
Additionally, the use of a neutralizing spray is recommended to maintain optimum hygiene. Powdercap 800 is designed to
provide protection against dust, chemicals, fumes, as well as radiation, and is ideal for use in laboratories, phar maceutical
production and other applications requiring ultra-clean air. The hood is self-contained, user-friendly and offers continuous
service while ensuring the highest levels of safety and cleanliness
