Natoli NP255 22 station tablet press certified by the OEM. This was purchased from Natoli Engineering in 2023, and is in excellent condition with very low hours.
Standard Features:
► Gravity Feeder with Dual Flow Control
Designed with flow control from the hopper to the feeder
Micro adjust for controlling the formulation in the feed frame
► Separated Compression Zone
Contains product in the compression area of press
Reduces cleaning Time
Separates the mechanical and product contact areas during operation
Improves press reliability
Extends press life
Compliant with cGMP
► Upper and Lower Punch Seals
Stops formulation from getting on punch barrels
Improves punch life
Reduces heat buildup during production, punch binding, clean-up time and wear on upper and lower turret sections
Stops lubrication from transferring to the die table
Protects punch barrels and punch guides from sticky, corrosive, and abrasive products
► Lubricated Upper and Lower Punch Guides
Upper and Lower turret punch guides are supplied with barrel lubrication automatically from the supply in the mechanical section
Punch barrels are continuously lubricated during production
The continuous lubrication reduces heat and friction on the punches
Keeping the punches cooler during production reduces product sticking, increases tool life, and reduces turret wear.
► Continuous Punch Head and Cam Lubrication
Specially Designed Upper and Lower Cams deliver punch head grease to the punches during operation which reduces punch head wear
Upper and lower cams receive grease from grease sending units which increase Cam life
Continuously greasing the punch heads reduces heat and friction as the punches as they travel through the cam tracks
The reduced heat and friction helps eliminate product sticking issues and improves punch life
► Upper and Lower Punch Cam Guards
Upper and lower punches are enclosed to reduce powder contamination on the punch barrels and punch guides.
Upper and lower cam tracks are enclosed to reduce powder contamination on upper and lower cam tracks
Punches and cams are lubricated and greased during production to reduce wear, sticking, binding, and to help keep the punches cooler during production.
Keeping the punches and cams cooler helps reduce product sticking to the punches during production
► Integrated Dual Vacuum System
Removes excess formulation from Die Table and Lower Turret Section
Formulation is vacuumed prior to main compression
Reduces punch sticking and heat buildup on the punch barrels
Reduces Cleaning time and contamination
Reduces the buildup of sticky, corrosive, and abrasive products that can cause tableting issues
Reduces die table and punch guide wear by removing unwanted product build up on the turret and punch barrel
► Central Lubrication System
Turret section and spindle are automatically lubricated during production
Reduced heat buildup in the turret and compression zone
Mechanical Sections are lubricated from a central lubrication system separated from the compression zone of the press
Improves Reliability
Reduces wear to maintain manufacturing tolerances
► Error and Alarm Tracking and Reporting
All error and alarms are stored in the AIM database
Error, alarm, and stop/start events are tracked and reported on batch and performance reports
► Allen- Bradley PLC Controls and Monitoring
Off the shelf electronics for lower maintenance cost
Open architecture for greater flexibility and reliability
Non-proprietary OS and PLC
HMI user interface
Menu Driven Operation
CE Compliant
Multi-Level Security
► Built in Calibration Tool
Pre-compression, main compression, and ejection forces can all be calibrated using the calibration meter and punches
Positional encoders can be calibrated from the HMI Interface
Operators can calibrate the dosing cam position to the die table height
► Easy access to Dosing, Compression, and Overload settings
Both Dosing and Compression settings can be adjusted while the press is in production
Overload settings are easily adjusted by the operator during production
Operators receive messages guiding them to increase and decrease weight based on the force readings
Improves tablet quality, consistency, and reduces tableting deformities.
Max Tip force is entered for each product to help reduce tooling wear and damage from excess force
► Powder Re-Circulation System
The high efficiency gravity and forced feeders are design to contain excess formulation in the feeder after die filling and recirculated any unused formulation that does occurs
Excess formulation is collected in the recirculation band on the turret
Re-Circulated formulation is moved back into the feeder for re-use
Reduces formulation loss which increases yields and reduces cost
Makes clean up faster and easier
► Remote Connectivity
Network connectivity for remote technical support via secure VPM connection
► Security and HID Interface
5 levels of security based on job responsibility
Menu based architecture to allow for easy access
Employees on have access to screens required for their job role
Optional Features:
► Feeder Ready Option Plus Adding back in the gravity feeder
This option makes the NP255 feeder ready when you add it later
All you have to buy is the feeder, drive shaft, and a replacement Delrin strip which reduces the cost to add this option later.
► Compression Force Monitoring
Main compression force is measured via a strain gauged roller pin
Feedback is displayed on the operator AIM interface
Operators will receive on screen promotes to adjust the dosing to maintain consistent tablet compression force and tablet weights
Operator settable min/max tablet force parameters accessible
Table Reject Chute ready.
Operator can monitor Compression Settings
Operators graphical feedback by station
AIM interface displays tablet RSD’s based on increases/decreases in compression force when tablet weights/die fill varies.
Changes in tableting parameters during production can be identified with compression force changes
Better control of product quality by monitoring changes in force and RSD’s
Allows operators to better trouble shoot issues with product sticking to specific punches.
► Standard Batch Reporting
End of Batch Reporting
Batch RSD monitoring for product variation
Error code and alarm Reporting Reporting is constant with FDA requirements
► Research and Development
This allows your R&D Team to run one station of tooling and hand fill the die to make tablets
\with a small amount of formulation.
The press will make one tablet at speed to collect data for force and RMP’s.
This information is exported into an excel spread sheet template provided that allows operators to enter post compaction data, tooling data, and formulation data.
Once that is entered reports can be run that provide tablet ability, compressibility, hardness, dwell time, and strain rate sensitivity data.
A break is added on the turret drive to stop at the correct location to fill the die for multiple tablets this speeds up the process by eliminating the manual indexing of the turret for additional tablet.
► Hopper Vibration
Helps poor flowing products move to the feeder inlet tube more consistently
Helps maintain a consistent feeder head pressure with a constant flow of powder out of the hopper
Eliminates or Reduces granulation Ratholing
Eliminates or reduces granulation bridging in the hopper or feeder inlet tube.
► Mobility
Provides a stable base during production
Enables the press to be moved from room to room with no additional equipment
Powder Coated wheels to meet cGMP guidelines
